We are thankful to God to have been able to run a Holiday Bible Club again this year. Children enjoyed Olympic-inspired games, races, quizzes and crafts (making their own medals. sashes and pom-poms). On Thursday we looked at Eric Liddell’s athletic achievements whilst keeping Sunday as a special day, as well as Jesus being victorious over death in his resurrection.
The memory verse for the Thursday was: Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life. 1 Timothy 6:12.
On Friday we looked at the apostle Paul as a missionary and the time Eutychus was raised back to life. We also looked at Eric Liddell’s missionary work in China, and how he used to race the prison camp guards to get more food for the prisoners!
The memory verse for the Friday was “I press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:13.
