Who we are
We are a community of local Christians who meet together in Westoning to worship God.
All are welcome to join us at our services whether you have never attended a church before, moved to the area or you are visiting from elsewhere. You can get an idea of what to expect here.
We run other activities such as the Noah’s Ark Toddler group on term-time Friday mornings and our term-time Sunday School for children aged 4-18.
Church officers
We currently have 5 appointed church officers who are involved in the pastoral and practical oversight of the church.
Matthew
Matthew became the church’s pastor towards the end of 2022. Matthew is married with 2 children.
Martin
Martin is an elder at Westoning Baptist Church, having attended the church for more than 25 years. He is married to Rebekah and they have 4 children.
Mark
Mark is a deacon at Westoning Baptist Church. He is married with 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
Steve H.
Steve coordinates the Sunday School at Westoning Baptist Church. He is married to Katie and they have 2 children.
Steve W.
Steve is a deacon at Westoning Baptist Church.
What we believe
The church adopts The Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689. which is in no way equal to the Holy Scriptures. A full summary of the confession and our beliefs can be found here.
